2GO Travel, a part of SM Investments Corporation, recently set sail with 119 content creators onboard.

The campaign harnesses the power of a new breed of content creators and platforms to promote domestic tourism.

The voyage, dubbed 2GOKada Creators Cruise, took three days which brought the vessel to Iloilo and Bacolod.

Tourism Promotions Board Philippines chief operating officer Maria Margarita Nograles led the send-off ceremony aboard MV 2GO Masagana.

The 2GOKada Creators Cruise is the culminating activity of 2GO Travel’s summer-long campaign, in partnership with the Department of Tourism to champion discovering the Philippines via sea travel among the younger generation.

Domestic tourism advocate

“It is so wonderful to see that 2GO Travel has consistently been an advocate for domestic tourism by providing the most upgraded sea travel experience in the country. The 2GOKada Creators Cruise is a great way to encourage a new generation of travelers to explore the Philippines. We hope to see more of local sea travel and more creative content of our beautiful islands, with the influence of the 2GOKada,” said Nograles at the send-off ceremony.

“We have the most upgraded sea travel experience in the country because we are the Philippines’ largest operator of cargo-passenger vessels, including the two largest and most modern ones,” Frederic C. DyBuncio, 2GO president and CEO, said.

“2GO celebrates all the best of what the Philippines has to offer. When you travel with 2GO, you can be assured of sea travel that is distinctly a ‘Filipino brand.’ This is our inspiration for the 2GOKada campaign,” DyBuncio added.
