Kesha’s fifth album ‘Gag Order’ her ‘most daring music yet’

The singer has sold more than 14 million total album equivalents worldwide and has had nine Top 10 hits on The Billboard Hot 100
Pop superstar Kesha has released Gag Order, her fifth album considered the “crowning glory” of her eclectic discography.
Rolling Stone has called it “her most daring music yet.” Kesha herself described the album as a “post-pop” full-bodied collection that unblinkingly covers both the light and dark aspects of her life.
“Without the darkness, there is no light. So, I let my darkness have the light. I can’t fight the truth. Life is difficult and painful. It is for everyone. An artist doesn’t exist to make others happy. I believe an artist gives voice, motion, and color to the emotions we all have. The good emotions, and the unmanageably miserable ones,” she said in a statement.
Gag Order’s pre-release tracks “Eat the Acid” and “Fine Line” hints at Kesha’s artistic reinvention. “Living In My Head” speaks about her struggles with panic attacks, “Happy” discusses her finding peace in facing her fears, while “All I Need Is You” pays homage to unconditional true love.
Kesha has sold more than 14 million total album equivalents worldwide. She also has approximately 6.9 billion audio streams and 1.7 billion video streams, and has had nine Top 10 hits on The Billboard Hot 100, including four number one singles on Top 40 Radio such as “TiK ToK,” “Your Love Is My Drug,” “Die Young” and “Timber.”
