Marinduque’s Holy Week tradition on Holy Monday featured Amargura, the procession featuring the Sorrowful Mother, in Mogpog town.
There the women, including the weeping Mother Mary, were separated from Jesus Christ along with the apostles and the Roman soldiers (Moriones).
It was such a poignant depiction of the sorrow felt by Jesus’ followers in the days leading to His crucifixion.
