Aspiring singer Kaya Stewart got the approval of all three judges during her American Idol audition, which earned her a trip to Hollywood to vie for the next round of the popular singing contest.

Kaya performed some original songs, but what brought the house down was when his ’80s music legend dad played guitar for backup as she sings “This Tattoo”, a song they wrote together.

Her dad, Dave Stewart, is the other half of the new wave duo Eurythmics. Alongside vocalist Annie Lennox, the duo released songs such as “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”, “Here Comes the Rain Again”, and “There Must Be an Angel”.

Lionel Richie, who was one of the judges, confirmed that Dave was a fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.

After the performance, Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan gave their “Yes” verdict and told Kaya, “You’re going to Hollywood!”
