The restaging of the adaptation of the beloved 2002 graphic novel Ang Kagila-gilalas na Pakikipagsapalaran ni Zsazsa Zaturnnah by Carlo Vergara, Zsazsa Zaturnnah The Musical…Yun Lang! is currently running at the Ateneo de Manila University. It is headlined by Kim Molina as superhero Zsazsa Zaturnnah with Phi Palmos, Shaun Ocrisma, and Adrian Lindayag playing Ada.
Aside from the actors playing the main characters, audiences are also thirsting to know the actors who portray Dodong, the town hunk and love interest of Ada. The stud with a heart was played by Lauren Novero and Arnold Reyes in the 2005 original staging; Janvier Daily, Rocky Salumbides, Red Anderson, and Prince Stefan in different restagings; and Alfred Vargas in the movie version. Now, three hunks are set to make audiences thirsty anew — Juan Carlos Galano, Elian Dominguez, and Jude Matthew “JM” Sevilla.

Galano is the most familiar to many people as he has appeared in several commercials including Manulife’s “Goodbye, Hello” (2020), Globe Telecom’s “Jake is Typing” (2021), and two episodes of Kwentong Jollibee Valentine’s series, “LDR” (2021) and “600 Days” (2022), but it was his photo shoots for underwear line Bench Body that make people notice.
Among the films he appeared in are Nelia (2021), Daddy’s Gurl (2018), and Regal Studio Presents (2021). Now, he is making his theater debut in Zsazsa Zaturnnah.
Sevilla also appeared in commercials during his late teens. A singer and songwriter, he was the grand champion of the Birit Baby contest of Eat Bulaga! in 2009, paving the way to becoming a regular performer in the noontime show until 2011. He studied Theater Arts at the University of the Philippines and has acted in several productions including Putri Anak: Isang Bagong Komedya, Totong Tipaklong, and Ang Dressing Room. He also has several film credits.

Dominguez is a fourth-year Environmental Science student at Ateneo de Manila University and a member of Ateneo Blue Repertory which is involved in its productions. In playing Dodong, he said he “hopes to help show another layer to the definitions of masculinity and queerness.”
Directed by Missy Maramara, Zsazsa Zaturnnah The Musical…Yun Lang!, restaged by the Ateneo Blue Repertory together with Rizal Library and Areté Ateneo, runs from 17 March to 2 April at the Doreen Black Box Theater at ADMU in Quezon City.
