BoC Subic conducts internal audit

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — The Bureau of Customs Port of Subic has conducted an Internal Quality Audit prior to surveillance as part of the agency’s thrust to deliver enhanced performance and quality service to the public.

According to district collector Maritess Martin, the two-day audit was conducted by the Interim Internal Quality Management System auditors led by Joseph G. Escasio and during the conference, the overview of the audit as well as the Port accomplishment highlights were presented.

The said IQA resulted in zero major and minor conformity and seven opportunities for improvement in which the Top Management, Process Owners, Document Controllers and the rest of the Port accepted with a promise to adapt and comply immediately.

The IIQMSO Auditors revisited all the processes and manuals of the Port. This is to ensure that procedures and processes are all maintained to a high standard and to be able to continuously improve our system and the services being offered.
