The first Kadiwa ng Pangulo store in Bicol Region made P1.2 million in sales since its debut with P431,162 on the first day and P780,912 on the second day, Malacañang said on Sunday.
The Presidential Communications Office made the statement after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. personally inaugurated the “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” outlet in Pili, Camarines Sur last Thursday.
According to the PCO, a Kadiwa store in Cebu City also reported a total sales of P931,239.
There are currently 500 Kadiwa ng Pangulo locations open across the country.
As part of the statewide development of Kadiwa centers, a special “KNP Para sa Manggagawa” Kadiwa ng Pangulo outlet was also opened in the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines headquarters in Quezon City.
“It is part of the continuing expansion of the Kadiwa centers nationwide aimed at giving a platform for Filipino farmers, fisherfolk and micro, small and medium enterprises to enable them generate more income through a direct farm-to-consumer trade,” PCO said.
