‘Gunrunner’ caught selling cal. 38 revolver

Operatives of the Manila Police District-Special Mayor’s Reaction Team entrapped the other night a 28-year-old man in Vitas, Tondo for gunrunning.

P/Maj. Edward Samonte, chief of MPD-SMaRT, identified the suspect as Babymar Salatandol, a gunsmith.

A policeman bought from Salatandol a cal. 38 revolver for P5,500 and arrested him immediately after the money and merchandize changed hands.

March is Fire Prevention Month.

Lacuna said that while the cash aid from the city government may not be much, it will still help families displaced by fires in starting start anew.
