Bianca Pagdanganan started and ended with a birdie as she launched her campaign in the Carlisle Women’s Golf Classic with a three-under-par 69 at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona Thursday.
The 25-year-old Filipina, averaging 285 yards off the tee, played the par-5 holes in 4-under to trail Americans Amanda Doherty, Katherine Smith, Emilee Hoffman, Kathleen Scavo and Karen Chung by three.
Starting at the back, Pagdanganan birdied 10 and 18 to counter a bogey on 12.
After an eagle on the first hole, a par-5, she bogeyed 16 and closed with a birdie.
Pagdanganan hit 8 of 14 fairways, and reached 14 of 18 greens but needed 30 putts to complete the round. She is tied for 19th spot.
Dottie Ardina finished on 73 while Clariss Guce submitted a 74.
Ardina was 1-over through seven holes while Guce was 6-over after seven holes.
Abby Arevalo, the other Filipina in the field, shot a 78.
