Mikee Quintos and Paul Salas’ relationship changed for the better because of GMA Network’s The Write One.

In the upcoming show, the two find themselves paired with real-life couple Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid.

The Write One follows Liam (Madrid), a frustrated writer who finds an enchanted typewriter that can rewrite his life story. He is married to Joyce (Umali), a budding actor. They share a son named Dex. Both wonder what life could be for them had they not given up on their dreams.

In his revised life story, Liam is now a creative manager in a film production company and in a relationship with fashion figure Via (Quintos). Meanwhile, Joyce is being courted by a lawyer named Hans (Salas).

“It can’t be avoided that we have to work together. I found out that Paul and I have a different approach to acting,” Quintos said of his boyfriend in a media conference. “But, it’s going through the small things that turned our relationship for the better and also the way we work on set.”

Quintos acknowledged the skills she’s learning as an actor while working with Salas, saying “hindi ko kaya matutunan ‘yun ng
mag-isa lang ako (I can’t learn that by myself).”

The cast of The Write One includes Lotlot De Leon, Ramon Christopher, Mon Confiado, Alma Concepcion, Art Acuna with Sparkle talents Kokoy De Santos, Royce Cabrera, Kaloy Tingcungco, Analyn Barro, Yvette Sanchez and Euwenn Mikaell Aleta.

The Write One marks the first collaboration of GMA Network with pan-regional video streaming service Viu.

Directed by King Marc Baco, The Write One airs on 20 March on GMA Telebabad, Mondays to Thursdays, 9:35 p.m. GMA, with simulcast airing on Pinoy Hits and I Heart Movies, and at 11:30 p.m. on GTV.

Quintos and Salas previously starred in the series The Lost Recipe.

Viewers abroad can catch the program via GMA Pinoy TV. Watch the advanced episodes of The Write One on Viu Philippines from Saturdays to Tuesdays beginning 18 March.
