The Department of the Interior and Local Government on Friday said that it has inspected seven projects under the 2022 Local Government Support Fund-Support to Barangay Development Program in Gabaldon town Nueva Ecija.
With an allocation of P4 million per project, the DILG Nueva Ecija Locally Funded Projects team inspected the rural electrification and concreting of farm-to-market roads in Barangays Calabasa, Ligaya, and Malinao as well as the construction of potable water system in Barangay Sawmill.
The inspection team reported that six of the seven projects “were verified to be completed while the construction of level III potable water system in Barangay Sawmill is still ongoing.’’
In a statement, the DILG explained that the purpose of the inspection was to ensure that the projects were executed according to approved plans and specifications.
During the inspection, the DILG LFP team was accompanied by the municipal functionaries of LGU-Gabaldon, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the Philippine National Police to validate the actual accomplishments of the projects and to check if there were issues that may affect the project’s implementation.
The LGSF-SBDP is a program of the DILG and the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict to bring development to physically isolated and former communist conflict-infiltrated barangays in the country.
