Ipilan Nickel Corporation or INC, a subsidiary of Global Ferronickel Holdings, Inc., are decrying protesters blocking mine haul roads that allegedly disrupt its mining operations in the municipality of Brooke’s Point, Palawan.

Thus, the company said Wednesday that the Temporary Restraining Order issued by Brooke’s Point Regional Trial Court Branch 165 against the protesters was a welcome development.

Prohibits

The TRO prohibits the protesters from stopping, apprehending, searching, obstructing, or even approaching all vehicles in Sitio Panay going in and out of the INC mine site.

“As a good corporate citizen, we are complying with legal procedures and exploring all lawful and peaceful options against the threats and intimidation tactics used by propagandists and saboteurs,” Ipilan Nickel Corporation Resident Mine Manager Alex Arabis said.
