The Department of Tourism on Tuesday revealed that Cebu province was among the top three destinations of German nationals as the agency eyes to invite more tourists in the province.
DoT Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco said that they are aiming to invite more German nationals to the country and said that Germany is the 11th biggest market for tourism in 2022 in the country with 39,013 German visitors, followed by France with 23,949; Netherlands with 19,306; Switzerland with 11,092 and Belgium with 8,964.
Based on the DoT report, Cebu, Palawan and Bohol are favorite destinations of German tourists and a German visitor averages 14.50 nights stay in the country either for leisure or business.
“After almost three years of setbacks and global pandemic among the hosts of other calamities, we can finally say the worst is almost over. We flourished and we have survived and now the Philippines is thriving and ready for your partnership,” Frasco said.
