PAOAY, Ilocos Norte — A local toughie was arrested the other day in Barangay 6 in Sta. Rita here. Col. Julius Suriben, police director, identified the suspect as Jay Lucky Geron, 35 years old.

A search of Geron’s house resulted in the confiscation of a 12-gauge Armscor shotgun with seven shells, as well as live ammunition for calibers .22, .38 and 9mm.

He was not around during the search but his immediate family and barangay officials witnessed the service of the warrant.

Suriben said that a followup operation resulted in Geron’s arrest.
