Minalin gets hydroponic greenhouse
Members of the association were urged to take care of the hydroponic greenhouse so they can increase their earnings while helping Minalin achieve food security

MINALIN, Pampanga — A hydroponic greenhouse was turned over to the Bulac Vegetable Growers Association by the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 3 in this town.
The project was made possible through the High-Value Crops Development Program which will enable farmers to grow vegetables the whole year round since the farm is inside a controlled environment.
Members of the association were urged to take care of the hydroponic greenhouse so they can increase their earnings while helping Minalin achieve food security.
Association chair Jimmy Arrubio, speaking for the 56 members of the group, expressed his gratitude to the agency for the new facility, dubbing it a dream come true for them.
“I know that this facility will generate huge income, especially for us farmers. This is a great project and we are ecstatic over the fact that we are the beneficiaries of the facility,” he said.
HVCDP officials led by Kathleen Joy Gomez, Mayor Noel Philip Naguit, Minalin ABC Vice President Raul Flores, Municipal Administrator Edgardo Yambao, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist
Supervising Agriculturist Reynaldo Sarmiento, Municipal Agricultural Officer Edna Manlapaz, and other officials took part in the turnover ceremony.
