Lyceum inches closer to NCAA Final 4

Lyceum of the Philippines University carved a 25-20, 25-15, 25-17 win over Letran for a step closer to the Final Four in NCAA Season 98 women’s volleyball tournament at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila Tuesday.

Joan Doguna fired 15 points as the Lady Pirates are now alone in third place with a 6-2 win-loss card.

With Lyceum scoring 10 aces against the Lady Knights, head coach Cromwell Garcia said they have been polishing their service game.

“We have been going back on our services as it could be our weapons in the game, especially against big opponents,” Garcia said.

Judiel Nitura and Cha Cuñada had six points apiece for Letran as the Lady Knights’ Final Four hopes are in danger with a 4-4 card.
