GENERAL SANTOS CITY — A town councilor of South Cotabato wanted for rape has been arrested after he was tipped off to police.

Tantangan Councilor June Vicente Seneca, 59 years old, was arrested by elements of Bula police at Bria Homes Subdivision, Barangay San Isidro, this city on 10 March, after tipsters informed authorities of his presence in the area, according to a report of the Gensan Police.

Seneca is in the top 3 most wanted persons list of the Tantangan police.

The councilor is now in the temporary custody of the Tantangan Municipal Police Station, its chief, Police Major Randy Apostol, said.

Apostol assured that there will be no special treatment for the suspect pending the court’s order on where he will be detained.
