The tank Lancelot jungle is proving to be a feasible meta following RSG PH’s stunning upset over M4 world champion ECHO on Week 4 Day 3 of MPL Season 11 Sunday evening.
After taking Game 1 thanks to Light’s heroics, RSG PH turned it up in Game 2 with its tank build Lancelot, Franco, Valentina, Lapu-Lapu, and Brody lineup.
With Light throwing hooks almost without miss and H2wo darting in and out with his Lancelot, RSG ultimately got the job done in 22 minutes.
“I think it has to do with our team composition so I had to tank Lancelot because we used Franco. It has to do with team composition and draft,” said RSG PH’s jungler H2wo after the match.
“All series are very important to us. I am so proud that even though they sleep late and got scolded they were able to 2-0 the world champion,” RSG PH’s team manager Lexie Yambao added.
The stunning upset improved RSG PH’s standing to 5-2 with 14 points, putting them in the no. 3 spot of the regular season.
Three-time MPL champion and M3 world champion Blacklist International, meanwhile, bounced back from their defeat yesterday with a 2-0 win over Nexplay.
The fan-favorite squad improved its standing to 4-3 with 11 points. They currently stand at the no.4 spot in the regular season.
