Rianne slips to joint 15th

Rianne Malixi made only one birdie in a round of two-over-par 74 in the third round of the Women’s Amateur Asia Pacific Championship at the Singapore Island Country Club in Singapore on Saturday.

The 16-year-old Filipina failed to sustain the momentum of a second-round 67, bogeying the first hole. She made her first birdie on 6 but bogeyed 11 and 16.

On 1-under 215, Malixi dropped into a tie for 15th with Eunseo Choi of New Zealand, Elaine Widjaja of Indonesia and Ni Zixin of China.

Eila Galitsky of Thailand was alone on top of the leaderboard on 10-under 206 after firing a 70.

Three shots behind was Korean Kim Minsol who had a 73. Japanese Yuna Araki was in third on 210 following a 68.

Lois Kaye Go matched Malixi’s 74 to sit on joint 21st on 219. She had three birdies against three bogeys and a double bogey.

Over in Thailand, Miguel Tabuena carded a 74 to stay within three shots off Indian Chakkarangappa S. and Siddikur Rahman going into the final round of the International Series Thailand at the Black Mountain Golf Club.

The 28-year-old Filipino made five birdies against three bogeys to complete 54 holes on 12-under, good for a tie for 16th.

Justin Quiban, the only other Filipino who made the cut, shot a 71 to move to a share of 58th on 7-under.

Chakkarangappa and Rahman were tied on 15-under after shooting 67 and 64, respectively.
