Four suspects in the alleged hazing death last December of engineering student Ronnel Baguio have surrendered, the Public Attorney’s Office said yesterday.

PAO chief Atty. Persida Acosta disclosed the surrender of four of five suspects in social media posts carried by Cebu-based news sources.

Baguio, 20, was a student at the University of Cebu when he succumbed to injuries during initiation rites of the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity.

Leny Baguio, the deceased’s mother, sought the help of the PAO to expedite the investigation into the death of her son.

Among those being sought is an instructor of Baguio’s who supposedly enticed him to join the fraternity.

The Tau Gamma Phi is the same fraternity tagged in the death of Adamson University student John Matthew Salilig who underwent initiation last February.

Before his death, Baguio had complained of stomach pain and headaches.
