The Atillos’ lovely home is the go-to venue of past parties and reunions. And thus, familiar radiant faces gathered once again like a blast from the recent past for the double birthday celebration of two accomplished individuals, the happily retired man-of-the-house Boboy Atillo and popular architect Tessie Javier.

Having just celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, Boboy and his accomplished pianist wife, Irma, once again graciously welcomed dear family and close friends to their stately abode, where guests, as soon as they stepped in, were handed a bubbly and joined the ongoing merrymaking.

The intimate affair was likewise a thanksgiving for all the wonderful blessings that have come their way through the years.

Trays of pica pica were masterfully prepared by Cebu’s foremost provisioner Café Laguna. The spread included mature and nutty flavored cheeses, jamon Iberico, a variety of ingenious spreads and innovative dips, melba toasts and an assortment of breads and biscuits.

The buffet included daily freshly-caught seafood, homemade pasta for long life, tender steaks roasted the way one wanted them, grilled juicy ribs and the ever-present succulent Cebu lechon.

Irma then played the jolly birthday tune as everyone broke into song while the cakes were rolled in. The two celebrators received more well wishes amidst the applause.

As in the past gatherings the couple hosted, digital creator Zandro Guillo, wine connoisseur Winglip Chang, landscaper Jaime Chua, and pathologist Randolph Libres rendered a medley of Broadway hits, accompanied by talented pianist Thirdy Zosa Tan, as the music lasted way past midnight.
