RICHARD Juan visits Hong Kong Disneyland for the first time.
Hong Kong is a three-hour flight from Manila, making it one of Filipinos’ go-to destinations. Coincidentally, this is also Chinese-Filipino TV personality Richard Juan’s former residence.
Now that travel is almost in almost full swing, the Chinese-Filipino celebrity went back to his roots to visit his relatives and reminisce about his time in the country.
He also ventured to locations he would frequent and explored new attractions that Hong Kong had developed in recent years.
Yayoi Kusama exhibition at M+ Museum
Despite his limited time, he made the most of the opportunity to see the M+ Museum’s first international artist exhibition by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. He saw hundreds of her works spanning Kusama’s art and life over the past five decades.
Adorned with thousands of beautifully curated pieces, Juan describes this place as a haven for people who love to take Instagram-worthy photos.

On visiting the K11 Musea
“K11 Musea is also something you should not miss!” he said. The shopping center also doubles as an art museum.
“I was told by our tour guide that some of the art installations were from the owner’s own personal collection too,” he explained. His personal favorite is the roof garden area, which offers a stunning view of Hong Kong’s harbor.
K11 successfully blends art and commerce, with many high-end retail stores and designer brands.
Hong Kong Disneyland
Juan’s trip to Hong Kong was even more special because he got to visit Hong Kong Disneyland for the first time.
“Disneyland opened in 2005, and yet it’s my first time! I even went on Mickey Mouse’s birthday! I was completely blown away by the magical and immersive atmosphere of the park. From the moment I walked through the gates and down Main Street, I felt transported to a world of wonder and brought back a sense of nostalgia,” he said.
