P1-M drugs seized; man arrested

Confiscated from the suspect were 14 sachets containing marijuana weighing more or less nine kilos

A 26-year-old suspected drug peddler was nabbed by the police for selling more than P1 million worth of allegedly illegal drugs in a drug-bust operation in Antipolo City Sunday.

The suspect was identified only as alias Noe, a resident of Antipolo City.

He was arrested in an operation in Barangay San Isidro conducted by joint operatives of the provincial drug enforcement unit and provincial intelligence unit of the Rizal Police Provincial Office.

Confiscated from the suspect were 14 sachets containing marijuana weighing more or less nine kilos with a standard drug price of P1,080,000, one unit of cellphone, five pieces of one-thousand peso bill used as boodle or fake money, and a one-thousand peso bill buy-bust money.

The suspect, now detained at the Antipolo City Police Station custodial facility, will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
