Bong Go lauds 2022 TOWNS awardees for their contribution to nation-building

Sen. Bong Go lauded the 2022 awardees of The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service as the Senate adopted a resolution honoring and commending the recipients.

“I would like to congratulate the 11 outstanding women who were awarded the 2022 TOWNS award,” said Go, who was made co-author of the resolution together with other senators.

“These women have demonstrated exceptional courage, strength, and leadership in order to bring positive change to our country. They have pushed the frontiers of women’s leadership, broken glass ceilings, and paved the path for future generations of Filipinas. For this, they deserve our commendation,” said Go.

The TOWNS Foundation, Inc. conducts a nationwide search every three years to find inspiring Filipino women who make a positive impact in their communities through their work in their respective fields.

The selection process for the TOWNS 2022 awardees took a year. In the end, 11 remarkable Filipino women working in a variety of fields were selected from among 70 nominees from across the country.

Go conveyed his admiration and respect for the awardees and all Filipino women, as well as his commitment to work toward improving their quality of life and promoting their rights and welfare.

“Their contributions are invaluable and will serve as an inspiration to many. Let us recognize and celebrate the achievements of these remarkable women. Thank you for your dedication and service,” concluded Go.
