Go aids poor students in Camiguin

Sen. “Bong” Go’s outreach team mounted a relief activity for struggling students in Catarman, Camiguin, on 19 January.

Go reminded the youth to continue prioritizing their studies, underscoring how it would significantly help them mold into productive citizens and give them a better future.

The senator, likewise, reassured that he continues to develop and support programs that would boost the country’s education sector to ensure that the nation’s future leaders get the proper education they deserve.

Mounted at the Barangay Bonbon Hall, Go’s team gave away grocery packs, shirts, masks, and snacks to 73 indigent students. The team also provided cellular phones, shoes, and balls for volleyball and basketball to select recipients.

Representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development also extended educational assistance to qualified indigent students.

Go, as Chair of the Senate Committee on Health, reminded the youths to always prioritize their health. He then informed the student-beneficiaries that they may obtain medical assistance from the government through the newly opened Malasakit Center at Camiguin General Hospital (CGH) in Mambajao.
