Disadvantaged youths in Las Piñas get help
Since 2004, the city government of Las Piñas has been extending educational assistance to disadvantaged youth.
The educational program given yearly is one of the priority projects of the city government.
The project which is spearheaded by the Las Piñas City Social Welfare Development Office aimed to further enhance the plight of the said sector of society via educational package.
On 17 January 2023, the CSWDO, in cooperation with the Pag-Asa Youth Association of the Philippines – Las Piñas Chapter held an educational assistance program led by City Vice Mayor April Aguilar for the disadvantaged youth at the Mayor Nene Aguilar DRRMO Building, BF Resort Village, Barangay Talon II.
Aside from the usual educational assistance program, the CSWDO also conducted supplementary activities such as parents effectiveness service, general assemblies, parent-teacher dialogues, among others.
This is to further strengthen the said program which is being held yearly by the city government.
The city is pursuing the program as per the priorities of the Las Piñas City administration.
This is aside from other worthwhile programs and projects geared at improving the current situation of its residents.
