Jin looks dashing in his uniform in his latest update on his mandatory military enlistment.

The BTS member updated the ARMY

— the group’s global fans

— on Weverse by posting several photos of himself during the completion ceremony of his basic military training at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi province.

“I’m enjoying spending my time here. I’m posting photos after receiving permission from the military. ARMY, always be happy and take care,” the
30-year-old K-pop idol wrote.

Bighit Entertainment first announced Jin’s enlistment plans on 17 October 2022. Jin is the first member of BTS to go through the mandatory enlistment.

While he was given an automatic postponement from 2021 until the end of 2022 in light of revisions made in the Military Service Act in December 2020, Jin decided against it and requested a termination of the postponement.

He officially entered the military on 13 December, but not before released his first solo single titled “The Astronaut”, which he worked on alongside British band Coldplay. The song has garnered 106,759,466 Spotify streams as of writing.
