President Bongbong Marcos has named Rafael “Joel” Consing Jr. as his presidential adviser on investment and economic affairs.

Consing is currently serving as the chief financial officer of the International Container Terminal Services Incorporated, a global port management firm in Manila.

In a disclosure, the ICTS said Consing is “retiring from his role…with immediate effect.”

ICTSI chairman and president Enrique Razon vouched for Consing’s competency, saying he has “made a very significant contribution to the success of the business, and we have accepted his retirement with regret.”

“At the same time, we are happy that Joel will be moving on to an important role of national responsibility within the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines,” said Razon, who is among the CEOs who joined the President on his trip to Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum.
