Angping is new envoy to France

The President appoints Maria Zenaida Angping as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the French Republic.

A document obtained by the Daily Tribune from the Commission on Appointments showed that the President nominated Angping to the position on 13 January 2023.

Malacañang has yet to confirm the appointment, however.

Angping previously served as the chief of the Presidential Management Staff of the Marcos administration.

The PMS currently has no chief after she asked asked for some “personal time off” to supposedly spend more time with her family in December last year.

Her request for time off came after her husband, former Manila congressman Harry Angping, has been tagged in a sexual harassment controversy in Thailand days before the President arrived there for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit.
