Morgan Stanley to set up Manila office

Morgan Stanley, one of the world’s most prestigious investment banking firms, is setting up an office in the Philippines, Malacañang announced on Wednesday.

According to the Presidential Communications Office, Gokul Laroia, the chairman for Asia Pacific at Morgan Stanley, informed President Bongbong Marcos that the American investment bank will launch an office in Manila.

Laroia brought the good news during his meeting with the Philippine president on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Founded in 1935 in New York City, Morgan Stanley is a global leader in investment banking.
