PBBM: P3M cash ready for repair of Misamis school buildings

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Wednesday assured local officials in Misamis province that at least P3 million cash is ready to be released for the repair of school buildings damaged by the floods in the province.

“If the LGUs can take the load, we can send you the P3 million plus immediately… for the school buildings,” he said during a situation briefing in Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.

Malacañang said at least 63 classrooms were damaged in Misamis Oriental as a result of the downpour caused by the shear line in late December last year.

During the briefing, the local government of Gingoog reported that the number of families affected by the calamity has risen to 18,452.

Meanwhile, 45 out of 59 barangays have been affected and villagers residing in the coastal areas have incurred the most damage.
