LIMAY, Bataan — The Bureau of Customs Port of Limay, has started distributing numerous unpaid and abandoned balikbayan boxes of overseas Filipino workers after local deconsolidators failed to deliver them to the intended recipients.

Port of Limay district collector William Balayo said that the agency holds 27 balikbayan boxes subject for delivery to their rightful claimants.

Earlier, Customs commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz has ordered the immediate release of the shipments of abandoned containers to the families of OFWs in time for the Christmas season.
