Two years after being held online due to the pandemic, the 22nd edition of the Miss Earth beauty pageant will be mounted in a hybrid format — virtual and on-ground from 24 to 29 November at Cove Manila in Okada Manila Hotel, streaming worldwide via Miss Earth's official social media accounts and telecast on national and international TV stations.

"Although the pandemic is still with us, we are making sure that all safety and health protocols are observed for the delegates to have a live on-ground pageant experience in a safe environment, which is what the pageant advocates," said Ramon Monzon, Miss Earth president and cofounder.

Scheduled to arrive in Manila on 12 November are 90 aspirants of the pageant, whose theme, "ME Loves Fauna," emphasizes the importance of caring for animal life. It promotes awareness of wildlife and the domestic lives of endangered species.

"Apart from this meaningful undertaking, showcasing the beauty of the Philippines to the world, as it rises from the pandemic, would be beneficial to our tourism industry," pageant EVP and co-founder Lorraine Schuck said.

"The Filipino people are some of the happiest people on earth. Our charisma is something to always be proud of," Miss Philippines Earth 2022 Jenny Ramp pointed out.

"Our people are as diverse and beautiful as our environment. We are home to thousands of unique fauna and flora not found anywhere else in the world. I wouldn't change that for the world," Miss Earth Air Australia 2020 Sheridan Mortlock said.
