Majestic, strong, and sharp describe the rare Philippine Eagle. This elegant imagery of the country's national bird is the inspiration behind the sleek, bold new timepiece from Seiko.

Collectors, aficionados and random buyers alike will surely be excited to touch, and especially wear, a wristwatch with fine aesthetics and technical precision.

A good fit for the discriminating set, the Seiko Prospex Third Philippine Limited Edition will enhance the lifestyles of those who can walk away from the suffocating chaos of the city for the freedom of life surrounded by nature — on terra firma, underwater, or airborne.

This latest Seiko timepiece is the third edition — originally launched in 2020, inspired by Tubbataha Reefs, recognized as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.

In 2021, Seiko launched a second watch, inspired by the colorful sunrise — a happy watch for luxury seekers during the time of a pandemic.

The Seiko Prospex Third Philippine Limited Edition is a statement piece when worn with a suit, exactly how brand ambassador Drew Arellano did at a recent dinner-launch.

Wear the same watch to, say, a diving expedition in Palawan or a weekend bike jaunt rough-riding it with buddies through the North, man, this will match the adventure-seeker's endurance.

Consider the handsome specs: sophisticated two-tone (crimson and earth) rotating bezel with a textured dial; 6R35 caliber with a water resistance up to 200 meters; automatic movement with manual winding capacity and approximately 70 hours power reserve.

The details get sexier for watch collectors as it is limited to only 1,000 pieces, which comes with a special packaging in red and a box with an eagle head etched in gold.

This luxury piece likewise serves a higher purpose. Seiko has partnered with the Philippine Eagle Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the endangered Philippine Eagle and its rainforest habitat. The brand has adopted a rescue Philippine Eagle in Davao and named it Eiko, which means "flourishing or prosperous child.

Buying the Seiko Prospex Third Philippine Limited Edition enables its owner to make a donation for the shelter, care, and food of Eiko.

Seiko keeps the green love going with its collaboration with the Eco Matcher. For every purchase of the watch, a tree will be planted in the Sierra Madre region under the buyer's name. The Eco Matcher app will also update watch owners the tree's progress that can be tracked along with information about the tree's species, the exact location where it was planted, and details about its care, among others.

Got watch, support two causes. Now that's so fly.
