Tanza in Cavite is famously known as the place where Emilio Aguinaldo was sworn in as President of the Philippine revolutionary government. It is also the birthplace of Felipe G. Calderon, who composed the Malolos Constitution.

Recently, the town marked a milestone onto its road to progress and recovery from the pandemic with the opening of SM City Tanza, also known as SM Prime's 80th mall. The property is also the 7th supermall in the province after SM City Bacoor, SM City Dasmarinas, SM City Molino, SM City Rosario, SM City Trece Martires, and SM Center Imus. SM also has a Marketmall in Dasmariñas.

Strategically located on an 86,718 square-meter site along Antero Soriano Highway, SM City Tanza will serve shoppers in the northwestern areas of Cavite as well as in nearby Batangas.

Inspiration for the two-story, 60,000 square meter mall's structure tapped the town's main means of livelihood: farming and fishing, and the nearby beach resorts on its coastlines.

The colorful building, which carries the vibrant colors of boats and the blue sea on its facade has an L-shaped layout in side. It has a natural clerestory light stretched across the mall area, including the Cyberzone.

Among its top features are the 1,500 square meter Events Center for activities. It also carries SM's flagship stores like the SM Store, SM Supermarket, SM Appliance Center, ACE Hardware, Watsons, Surplus, Uniqlo, Pet Express, Miniso, Levi's, and Crocs. Fashion boutiques, jewelry stores, bookstores, as well as service and wellness centers make the property even more active.

For more convenience, the mall has almost 800 slots in its carpark; public transport terminals for inter-province, and inter region travel that is projected to help boost growth in the area.
