BAGUIO CITY — Authorities reported that five individuals were killed in a road accident at Barangay Ab-abut of the town of Piddig, Ilocos Norte on Sunday night.
Initial reports disclosed that the victims — identified as Eduardo Burgos, husband and wife Tranquilino Burgos and Zenaida Burgos — died on the spot while Eduardo's two children aged 16 and eight years old were declared dead on arrival at the nearby hospital.
All victims are residents of Barangay 20, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte.
Investigations showed that the Burgos family was aboard a tricycle and on their way home from a wake in Barangay Calambeg, Piddig when it collided with a black car.
The car's driver has yet to be identified.
