The Lady Tamaraws improved their record to 2-6 tied with Adamson University. The Lady Warriors fell to a 0-8 slate.

NU coach Aris Dimaunahan lamented certain aspects of his team's performance despite the huge win.

"Obviously, a lot of work has to be done on our team from this day on," he said. "We did not shoot well from the free throw line. We only had 50 percent. We missed 13. That's a lot of freebies missed for this morning's game."

Dimaunahan also rued the number of errors committed by his wards.

"We had a lot of turnovers (29) today. I thought it could be a better game for us had we taken care of the ball. Hopefully, we'll do better next time and improve again," he said.

Still, the Lady Bulldogs dominated from start to finish.

NU opened a 64-28 gap after an underhand stab from Angel Surada with 7:53 left in the third quarter.

The Lady Bulldogs forced the Fighting Maroons to 35 turnovers that they converted to 42 turnover points.
