The Mactan-Cebu International Airport was allowed to partially open for flights from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. earlier today,  enabling it to accommodate a Jeju Air flight (JJA2406) bound for Incheon.

A notice to airmen (NOTAM) (B3339/22) was also released by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines effective today until tomorrow evening (25 October, 6 p.m.) declaring the partial operability of the airport under day Visual Meteorological Conditions or conditions wherein pilots have sufficient visibility, as well as the airport runway's allowed temporary distances.

CAAP, in coordination with the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority, which administratively operates the airport, is also continuously working closely to complete the extraction of the Korean Airlines A330 aircraft that overshot the runway on Sunday night and was stranded at MCIA's runway 22.
