Go boosts studes, poor in Bulacan

Steadfast in his commitment to ensure that more disadvantaged Filipinos get the support they need at this time of crisis, Senator Christopher "Bong" Go provided relief to struggling Bulakeños in Malolos City and Bustos, 27 September.

Go's outreach team conducted two separate relief activities for 800 indigents and 775 students at Bulacan Sports Complex in Malolos City and Bulacan State University in Bustos, respectively.

The beneficiaries received snacks and masks while others received shoes and cellular phones. Meanwhile, as a staunch advocate for sports development, Go, likewise, gave away bicycles and balls for basketball and volleyball to select individuals.

"Ang advocacy ko po ay health and sports. Para po sa ating mga kabataan, get into sports and stay away from drugs. Huwag po natin sayangin ang nasimulan ni dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kampanya laban sa iligal na droga," urged Go in his video message.

As part of the government's efforts to support more struggling Filipinos, a team from the Department of Social Welfare and Development distributed financial assistance through its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation program.

As Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Senator Go urged those qualified yet unvaccinated Bulakeños to get their complete shots against Covid-19, citing how vaccines help boost their defenses and better protect them from severe threats of the virus.

He then reminded the public to remain vigilant as the fight against Covid-19 continues. The senator stressed the need to continue adhering to the health protocols to prevent the further spread of the virus.

Go likewise acknowledged the challenges faced by financially incapacitated Filipinos to get quality healthcare as he advised them to seek the services of the Malasakit Centers at Bulacan Medical Center in Malolos City and Rogaciano M. Mercado Memorial Hospital in Sta. Maria.
