No. 2 drug suspect, 44 others nabbed

The police units and stations arrested 13 accused including three station level most wanted persons

A total of 45 persons were arrested including the No. 2 district drug personality priority target during the latest anti -criminality operations conducted in Quezon City, its chief said on Thursday.

In a statement, QCPD chief Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III said that 18 suspects were arrested during the anti-illegal drugs operation which resulted in the confiscation of P289,000 worth of illegal drugs in separate buy-bust operations.

Torre said District Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Joey Magat, 32, a resident of Barangay Salvacion, La Loma, Quezon City, who was listed as the No. 2 drug personality priority target..

Confiscated from his possession were more or less 20 grams of shabu valued at P136,000, a cellular phone, and the buy-bust money.

In the campaign against wanted persons, Torre said the police units and stations arrested 13 accused including three station level most wanted persons.

La Loma Police Station 1 arrested the No. 10 station level MWPs identified as Sandelle del Rosario, 25, of Bulacan on Tuesday evening for simple disobedience and physical injuries while warrant of arrest was served against the No. 4 MWP identified as Renato Lacaba, 24, a resident of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, at BJMP Pasig City Jail Male Dormitory, for a case of Robbery.

Pasong Putik Police Station 16 arrested No. 4 MWP identified as Christopher Acompañada Fortes Jr., 18, a resident of Pasong Putik Proper, Novaliches, Quezon City, on Tuesday morning in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City, for five counts of anti-trafficking in persons act and four counts of RA 7610.
