The Philippine Financial and Inter-Industry Pride is inviting LGBTQ+ artists to contribute artworks for an exhibit as part of their ninth anniversary gala on 28 October at the Grand Ballroom of Marquis Events Place, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

PFIP is a collaborative, voluntary, and non-profit community of practice composed of representatives from LGBTQ+ employee resource groups and/or human resource/diversity teams of private firms in the Philippines. It began with five companies from the banking and financial industry in October 2013 and now has over 50 members from different industries.

For their anniversary celebration, PFIP will organize a gala night, providing networking opportunities for member companies. It will also be holding the first Philippine Bahaghari Awards, which aims to recognize individuals, leaders, and organizations that have shown exceptional efforts in advancing LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion in the Philippines.

"We wish to feature and support emerging LGBT+ artists and their artworks on the event. We will display the artworks around the venue and allow our attendees to purchase these," the organization said.

Local LGBTQ+ artists, aged 18 and above, are eligible to submit works.

"The event wishes to feature three exhibits and five individual artworks for a total of eight artists featured. Each exhibit must have five artworks," PFIP explained.

Artworks will be limited to paintings of watercolor, oil or acrylic on canvas. Artists must answer the Google Form (bit.ly/PFP9thAnnivArtistsSubmission) with their details and proposed artworks to be displayed in the exhibit. Submissions must include high-resolution FPG or PNG files of artworks with descriptions and short biographies of the artists.

The submissions will be reviewed and selected by the PFIP Executive Management Team. Submissions will be accepted until 30 September. For more information or queries, contact Camilo de Guzman, PFIP Events and Marketing Specialist, at 0917-8811591 or through email events
