First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos was all smiles alongside her husband President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as they landed in New York City to take part at the 77th United Nations General Assembly, which concludes on Monday, 26 September.

A homecoming of sorts for her, Mrs. Marcos had worked in the city as a lawyer for six or seven year and had met her future husband there as well. Once, in a Boy Abunda interview during the presidential campaign, the future First Lady had said, "I'm very New York so it has to be my way or the highway."

Back in New York after 25 years, the devoted wife and mother takes a step back to have the spotlight on her husband, as he kept a tight working schedule that included giving a speech before 150 global leaders, meeting key officials, and a historic engagement with US President Biden.

Of course, the First Lady didn't go unnoticed as she took her usual quiet but powerful participation in the visit dressed stylishly in her favorite Filipino designers' creations. Here, in photos, is LAM (her initials that's also her moniker) enjoying her New York moment.
