MNLF gets government support

The government will continue to support the Moro National Liberation Front and its members in heading towards the path of peace and development in the countryside, according to Presidential Adviser on Peace Reconciliation and Unity Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.

Galvez made this statement during his visit to Sulu province for the information, education, and communication campaign on the government's transformation program of the MNLF combatants and their communities last 19 September, along with Joint Task Force Sulu and 1th Infantry "Alakdan" Division commander Maj. Gen. Ignatius Patrimonio,

The officials met with the people of MNLF at Camp Yusop Jikiri in Barangay Pasil and at Camp Dragon in Barangay Kagay, both located in Indanan, Sulu. They were welcomed by BARMM Minister Albakil "Thong" Jikiri and MNLF Commander Ibrahim Joel.

Galvez reiterated the Marcos administration is "more than willing to assist" MNLF combatants to renew their lives.

The security forces cited the improved peace and order in Sulu province, with the contributions of MNLF fighters crucial to this significant milestone.
