Believe it or not, only a grand total of 29 cops overseen by at the National Capital Region Police Office had been dismissed from service from 2016 onwards.

That number, however, can be expected to shoot up as NCRPO chief P/Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo vowed on Monday to crack down on more rogue cops.

“We will never tolerate and will continue to uncover and unfold the tactics and hidden agenda of some of our personnel,” Estomo said, adding he’ll “guarantee that those proven guilty will be removed from the police service.”

Among the 29 NCRPO personnel dismissed were one for murder, another for homicide, two for rape, one for involvement in illegal drugs, five for kidnapping and two for robbery extortion.

The NCRPO oversees the various Metro Manila police districts like the Manila Police District, the Quezon City Police District, Eastern Police District, Southern Police District and Northern Police District.

Dismissed cops from the five police districts under NCRPO are already included in the NCRPO tally of 29 cops dismissed.
