Nova cops bag P10.2M shabu

A cop posed as a buyer of a small amount of shabu, but the police team was surprised to discover that the suspect had 1.5 kilos of the suspected crystal meth in his possession.

Operatives of the Novaliches Police Station 4 scored big in the campaign against illegal drugs when their buy-bust operation Friday morning resulted in the seizure of P10,200,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Jayson Espinar, 38, a resident of Barangay San Bartolome, Quezon City, was arrested in the drug sting, P/Lt. Col. Von June Nuyda said in a report.

The operation was undertaken by the undercover cops at around 2 a.m. along Carlos Street in Barangay San Bartolome following a tip from an informant about Espinar’s alleged selling of drugs in the area.

A digital weighing scale, the buy-bust money and the cellphone used in the transaction were retrieved from Espinar.
