Stray no more
It doesn’t take the latest statistics to know that the problem of animal homelessness in the Philippines remains unchanged.
While the call for its awareness grew, the population of homeless animals seem to have caught up over the years, too.
“As a non-profit organization with two shelters taking care of over 500 rescues, our hearts continue to break knowing millions more of other dogs and cats continue to suffer in the streets, in pounds, under the hands of people who are unkind,” animal welfare group Pawssion Project said.
As much as they want to attend to every single homeless animal in need, there’s always the struggle to keep resources afloat.
“Every day we work twice, triple as hard as any fur parent there is to make sure our rescues live a better life and are able to eat at least twice a day,” Pawssion Project added.
This is also why they continuously ask for the general public’s help to donate any amount or in-kind for their rescues’ supplies.
“No amount is too small in helping us give these rescues a better life as they await their forever homes,” the group added.
Join Pawssion Project in its strive to raise awareness on the harsh realities of homeless and abandoned animals in its week-long observance of the International Homeless Animals Day 2022.
In partnership with Bonifacio Global City and Bonifacio High Street, Pawssion Project will be hosting a jam-packed celebration with its ‘pawsome’ partners and advocacy allies.
