Project GUIDE launched

Parents of the students were praised by Andanar for their vital role in the schooling process as home educators

The Department of Education (DepEd) in Las Piñas City recently launched “Project GUIDE” — a program which aims to turn parents to become educators.

Project GUIDE stands for “Goal to Unite Involvement for a Desired Enhancement for Parents” and the program seeks to proactively involve parents in the learning methods of their children.

The successful launching of the project was hailed by Alelee Aguilar-Andanar, daughter of Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar and cited the DepEd School Division Office on the said endeavor.

“The Department of Education has come up with a program to help the parents as they take on a bigger role in becoming educators themselves,” Andanar said as she cited the severe effects of the pandemic on the educational system.

She also lauded parents for their vital role in the schooling process as home educators.
