Embattled Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV’s legal woes continue to pile up after the Pasay City Prosecutor’s office on Thursday charged the senator with grave threats before Branch 47 of the Pasay Metropolitan Trial Court.
The case stemmed from a complaint filed by Labor Undersecretary Jacinto Paras last year, accusing the senator of threatening his life when their paths crossed at the sidelines of a Senate hearing in May last year.
In his complaint, Paras said Trillanes threatened to kill him when the senator allegedly said: “I’ll finish you off. Your boss won’t stay long in power. His term will eventually end. I’ll finish you off, you mercenary. You may have your laugh now but your day will come. I’ll finish you off.”
