Former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has laughed off a Twitter post that a military helicopter he was riding in had crash landed in Albay.
Go told reporters in jest when asked to comment about the report of the supposed crash landing.
“Lets pray for him. Dis is bong GhOst texting you,” he also said in a text message to reporters and friends.
Go and President Rodrigo Duterte conducted Friday an aerial inspection of areas damaged by tropical depression Usman in the Bicol region, particularly in Camarines Sur.
On Saturday, Go was in Quezon as guest of honor at the grand alumni homecoming of the Recto Memorial National Highschool.
Turning serious, Bong Go said in a radio interview that he is not afraid to die serving his fellow Filipinos.
“So ako hindi ako takot mamatay.
Go also said he had a dream where he was met by St. Christopher, a Christian martyr, in heaven.
The Twitter account of anti-Duterte group GovPH (@AltGovPH) posted at 7:36 a.m. on 5 January 2019 saying: “Developing: AFP chopper na sakay si Bong Go nag crash land sa Albay.”
The post showed a screen grab from a television of the ABS-CBN report of the 22 November 2018 crash landing of a helicopter carrying Rep. Anthony Bravo and former House Secretary General Cesar Pareja but changed the label to say: “AFP chopper sakay si former SAP Bong Go nag crash land sa Albay.
Asked for his message to the people spreading lies about him and President Duterte, Go said: “Karma na lang po sa kanila yan. So wala po akong magagawa.”
