New home for iconic brands
Once more upgrading the city’s shopping landscape Rustan’s has unveiled a new concept boutique. Long known for innovating the retail business in the country, it now focuses its approach on luxury with ICONIC, which puts all of the department store’s top brands in one place.
What this means is that you no longer have to scour the metro for signature items as this space will house all the iconic pieces such as Louboutin’s red-soled heels, Chloé’s saddle bags, or Sergio Rossi’s elaborately-designed pumps.
Rustan’s ICONIC houses the most coveted fashion pieces from Aquazurra, Christian Louboutin, Fendi, Gianvito Rossi, Sergio Rossi, Chloé and Anya Hindmarch, among others.
Italian footwear brand Aquazurra marries the exquisite craftsmanship of Italian shoemakers but with surprising comfort. It’s best known for its playful yet sophisticated designs, a definite shoe-in for one of its more popular fans, the Duchess of Sussex.
Christian Louboutin’s footwear became renowned for its trademarked red-lacquered soles. The soles were an unexpected design accident that occurred when Louboutin had the idea of elevating a plain pair of shoes by painting its black sole red. It has since been lauded an icon with immediate recognition.
Another Italian luxury brand, Fendi was established by Edoardo and Adele Fendi in Rome in 1925. Thanks to fictional Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw, Fendi bags became among the most coveted in the world. Its most recognized styles include the Baguette and the double-F logo.
Gianvito Rossi is known for standout styles such as PVC-trimmed heels and minimalist but seductive sandals. Italian shoes designer Gianvito Rossi built his namesake brand on the value of high quality and timeless designs.
Sergio Rossi was established in the 1960s, and has been deeply rooted in the creativity and expertise of its eponymous founder, who viewed shoemaking as a continuous reflection on shape, harmony and elegance. This shoe brand has been praised excessively for its impressive craftsmanship and feminine designs.
Thanks to fictional “Sex and the City” character Carrie Bradshaw, Fendi bags became among the most coveted in the world.
Chloé was founded on Gaby Aghion’s vision to give women the freedom to dare to be themselves. It has since produced a number of ‘It’ bags, including the Saddle bag, the Drew Bijou, the Nile and the Roy bucket bag.
Established in the ‘80s, Anya Hindmarch has grown into a global brand, with over 30 stores in the world’s biggest cities as well as a presence in luxury department stores like Lane Crawford, Bergdorf Goodman and now, Rustan’s. Creativity, modern craftsmanship and personalization sit at the heart of this British brand’s accessories. It has also become known for its quirky and fun designs.

New flagship and special-edition handbag
Michael Kors celebrates KORS DUBAI – a portrait series of five style stars from the Middle East including model and humanitarian Jessica Kahawaty, model Lana Albeik and style influencers Leena Al-Ghouti, Ola Farahat and Carla di Bello.
The girls wear looks from the MICHAEL Michael Kors Holiday 2019 Collection and the new Michael Kors Fine Jewelry collection. Also featured is a special-edition, admiral blue Whitney handbag, designed in celebration of the new Michael Kors Middle East flagship, now open at The Dubai Mall.
The Whitney, first introduced this past summer, has become the newest iconic style from MICHAEL Michael Kors. Designed as a group of 24/7, work-to-weekend bags, the Whitney combines sophisticated silhouettes with on-the-go versatility.
The subtle but distinctive “M” shape on the front nods to the designer’s initial, a letter he’s been sketching since he was a child. Every bag also features a sleek, distinctive push-lock fastening with pyramid stud detailing.
Offered in deep, rich Admiral blue, this special edition Whitney is a small shoulder bag crafted from fine, panel-quilted lambskin. It features gold-tone hardware, including an adjustable, leather-and-chainlink shoulder strap. Perfectly sized to carry the essentials (phone, wallet, keys, lipstick), the bag also has a back zip pocket, front slip pocket and center zip compartment — because the best handbags are as functional as they are chic.
The expanded Michael Kors Dubai flagship will allow customers to experience an even wider assortment of products from Michael Kors, including a full range from MICHAEL Michael Kors, handbags and footwear from Michael Kors Collection and ready-to-wear and accessories from Michael Kors Mens.
The special edition Whitney bag is available in all Michael Kors stores across the Middle East.
In the Philippines, Michael Kors is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., and is located at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street Central, Greenbelt 5, Newport Mall, Power Plant Mall, Rustan’s Makati and Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
